Central bankers are explaining whether they plan to take action to cool the housing market in parts of the UK.

The Bank of England's Financial Policy Committee (FPC) has new powers to tackle any threat to the stability of the UK economy.

Mark Carney, the Bank's governor, is leading a news briefing as it publishes its half-yearly Financial Stability Report.
