Man arrested on suspicion of financing terrorism bailed

A 36-year-old man arrested on suspicion of financing and encouraging terrorism in west London has been bailed.

He was arrested at an address in Greenford on Thursday after officers from the Metropolitan Police's anti-terrorism squad searched the house.

The man was bailed until October while investigations continue.

Officers from the Counter Terrorism Command unit also searched a home in Ealing and a business address in Fulham as part of the operation.

The arrest came after police conducted a separate series of counter-terrorism raids at six addresses in the south of England on Wednesday.

Anti-terror officers in London searched properties in Hounslow, Walthamstow, Brentford and two in Greenford.

A property in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, was also searched.
