Jimmy Savile abuse claims 'must be investigated'

Claims Jimmy Savile abused children at 21 children's homes and schools in England must be investigated by local authorities, the government has said.

The allegations date from the 1960s, 70s and 80s, in institutions in Yorkshire, London, Manchester, Kent, Surrey and Devon, among others.
