A veteran Republican has appeared in court in Belfast, charged in connection with the abduction and murder of a woman in 1972.

Jean McConville, who had 10 children, is one of the Disappeared - people who were killed and secretly buried by the IRA.

Ivor Bell, 77, was denied bail, after the court was told there was a high risk he would not attend future hearings.

Chris Buckler reports.
