The papers: Tuesday's front pages

11 March 2014 Last updated at 00:48 GMT

Peter Kellner, president of polling organisation YouGov, joined University of Manchester fellow Zamila Bunglawala to review Tuesday's papers for the BBC News Channel.

They began by discussing the latest reports concerning the Malaysia Airlines passenger plane that disappeared on Saturday, before moving on to the Times's front page lead which suggests more Muslim parents are handing their sons over to police to prevent them travelling to Syria for jihad.

The pair then moved on to the Financial Times's front page story, which suggests Labour will take more cash from wealthy property owners and bankers to fund pledges aimed at creating jobs for young people.
