The papers: Wednesday's front pages

5 March 2014 Last updated at 01:04 GMT

James Millar, from the Sunday Post, and the Sun's features editor Sam Carlisle joined the BBC News Channel to review Wednesday's newspapers.

They began by discussing the latest developments in Ukraine and, in particular, the Independent's headline: "How do you solve a problem like Crimea?"

The pair then moved on to the Times's front-page picture of designer Karl Lagerfeld at Paris Fashion Week in the Grand Palais, which was made to look like a giant supermarket.

They also discussed the front page of the Daily Telegraph, which quotes research suggesting that adults on high-protein diets are more likely to die of cancer than those who eat less meat.
