UK floods: Water forces out Somerset residents

In the Somerset Levels, many have had to leave their homes as the water continues to rise - and in East Ling it has risen more than 30 cm (12 inches) in the past few days.

Many left so quickly they did not even take essentials such as toothbrushes, while the possessions left by others have proved tempting to those not put off by the water.
