8 February 2014 Last updated at 17:03 GMT

Fire and rescue services in Surrey have evacuated around half the homes on Sunbury Court Island, following rising river levels.

Access to and from the island is still possible via a bridge but rescue services evacuated some elderly and disabled residents by boat.

Emergency teams on the ground said that the stretch of river around Sunbury Court Island was the worst affected in Surrey.
