The papers: Thursday's front pages

23 January 2014 Last updated at 02:41 GMT

James Lyons, deputy political editor of the Daily Mirror, and Sun on Sunday political correspondent Craig Woodhouse review Thursday's papers for the BBC News Channel.

They began by discussing the front page of the Times, which reports the death of a teenager who killed herself after becoming addicted to self-harm blogs.

The pair then discussed the Financial Times's lead story, which suggests that the Bank of England might raise interest rates given that unemployment rates are falling towards 7%, and a Times story suggesting that the boss of a FTSE 100 company has branded Labour leader Ed Miliband a "threat to the [economic] recovery".
