Veteran entertainer Rolf Harris has arrived at London's Southwark Crown Court to enter pleas to 12 counts of indecent assault on girls.

The 83-year-old of Bray, Berkshire walked into the building accompanied by his wife Alwen, whom he pushed in a wheelchair, and security guards.

Mr Harris is accused of assaulting four girls between 1968 and 1986.

He will also enter pleas to four counts of making indecent images of a child between March and July 2012.

At an earlier magistrates' court hearing, his lawyer indicated he would be pleading not guilty.

The Australian artist, musician and television presenter was arrested in March last year.

Seven of the charges he faces relate to the alleged indecent assault of a girl aged 15-19 between 1980 and 1984, and three to a girl aged 14 in 1986.

The other two charges relate to the alleged indecent assault on a girl aged seven or eight in 1968 or 1969, and a girl aged 14 in 1975.
