A woman who was raped more than 50 times in an NHS psychiatric hospital says she was a "defeated person" after her ordeal.

"Catherine," a former in-patient at Little Brook Hospital in Dartford, Kent, was abused by a care worker several times in 2003.

The mother-of-two, who was being treated for a nervous breakdown and anorexia, told BBC Radio 5 live's Victoria Derbyshire: "I was like an abused dog."

Kent and Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership Trust, which runs Little Brook Hospital, told the BBC it could not comment on her case because it happened before the formation of the trust.
