Lord Stevens review calls for police standards overhaul

A review of policing in England and Wales led by the former Metropolitan Police Commissioner Lord Stevens is calling for an overhaul of standards to make the service more professional.

The review was commissioned two years ago by the Labour Party, which says it will consult on the recommendations.
