RSPCA warns of risk to horses over winter

21 November 2013 Last updated at 07:49 GMT

The RSPCA has warned that the number of horses and ponies being abandoned this winter may increase as owners struggle to find money to care for them.

The charity estimates that 7000 horses are already at risk in England and Wales, as over-breeding has caused a significant drop in their value.

Hywel Griffiths reports.
