Manhunt steps up for missing terror suspect

4 November 2013 Last updated at 22:35 GMT

A manhunt is still underway for terror suspect Mohammed Ahmed Mohamed, 27, who disappeared on Friday.

Somali-born Mr Mohamed entered a mosque in west London in western-style clothes, but was seen on CCTV leaving with his face and body fully covered by a burka.

He was under a terror prevention notice, a so-called TPim, which should mean he was tagged at the time.

In the Commons, Home Secretary Theresa May told MPs that the system for dealing with terror suspects is "strong and sustainable".

June Kelly reports.
