London 'taking the lion's share' of UK arts funding

Funding for theatres, museums and galleries outside the capital is being squeezed because London takes more than anywhere else, according to a report.

It found that government spending on arts and culture in London amounted to nearly £70 for every resident in the last financial year, compared to less than £5 per person in the rest of England.
