Do the English know when St George's Day is?

Only four out of ten people in England knew that St George's Day was on 23 April, but 71% could name the date of the US Independence, a poll conducted across the UK has found.

So should the English celebrate their Englishness a little more? And what do people know about the nation's patron saint?
