Nigel Evans to 'robustly defend' innocence

Conservative MP Nigel Evans has said he will "robustly defend" his innocence after being charged with offences including sexual assault and rape.

The Ribble Valley MP said he will continue to represent his constituents but will step down as deputy speaker in the House of Commons.
