Norfolk police want clubs to ban sale of alcohol after 03:00

5 August 2013 Last updated at 09:03 BST

Alcohol fuelled violence has become a frequent problem in Norwich prompting police to ask for a ban on pubs and clubs selling alcohol between 03:00 and 06:00.

Norwich City Police say the number of violent incidents in some areas of the city have tripled since licensing laws were relaxed in 2005.

They have released CCTV footage capturing alcohol fuelled fights in the city centre, which they say, is now a regular occurrence.

Andrew Plant reports.
