Stricter sanctions needed for police misconduct, MPs say

Too many corrupt and incompetent police officers in England and Wales have escaped punishment because of poor accountability, standards and training, according to MPs.

The Home Affairs Select Committee has called for a new code of ethics for all officers in England and Wales and says those who commit serious misconduct should have their pensions docked.
