Criminologist: 'We need to ensure guns are safe'


A coroner has called for "root and branch" gun licensing reform after ruling three women shot in a house in County Durham were unlawfully killed.

There has been a mixed response to the call for gun reform.

Professor Peter Squires, a criminologist from University of Brighton and a member of the Gun Control Network, told the BBC gun safety in the home was a real problem and there was a need to look at how safe people really were.
