Ratings 'largely symbolic' - Cable
Business Secretary Vince Cable has said the downgrading of the UK credit rating is "largely symbolic" and without too much effect on the "real economy".
Cable, speaking on The Andrew Marr Show, compared the credit rating agencies to "tipsters" whose downgrading of the US and French credit ratings had not hurt their economic recoveries.
