Horsemeat in food: UK shops hit back over 'silence'
A group of UK food retailers including Tesco, Sainsbury and Asda has issued a public letter hitting back at accusations they have "remained silent" over the horsemeat scandal.
The letter says the companies share consumers' "anger and outrage" and were working around the clock to resolve the issue.
Meanwhile the first results of tests on various beef products will be published on Friday, as further products were shown to have horsemeat in them.
Ross Hawkins reports.
