NoW phone hacking cases settled out of court
Hugh Grant, Kerry Katona and James Blunt are among 17 people who have settled out of court with the News of the World over phone hacking charges.
The Duchess of York, another of those included in the settlement, has also received a public apology from News Group Newspapers.
They are among hundreds of victims of the illegal practice which played a large part in the paper's closure in 2011.
The BBC's Ben Geoghegan explained some of the details of the case brought by singer James Blunt and Jeff Brazier, the widower of Jade Goody.
