Middlesbrough school bans use of local dialect
Local dialect is often heard in classrooms around the UK, but one primary school in Middlesbrough has banned pupils from using some words such as 'nowt' and 'yous' in school.
Parents at the Sacred Heart Primary School were sent a letter with a list of 11 forbidden words and phrases.
