Malala: 'God has given me a second life'

Help

Malala Yousafzai, the schoolgirl who was shot and wounded by the Taliban in Pakistan after campaigning for womens' rights, says she has been given a 'second life'.

The 15-year-old vowed to continue with her mission to ensure all girls receive an education.

Speaking after operations to implant a metal plate in her skull and repair her hearing, she thanked all the people who had helped her to recover.

Alan Little reports.
