Chris Huhne to resign as an MP after pleading guilty
Former Energy Secretary Chris Huhne is to resign as MP for Eastleigh after pleading guilty to perverting the course of justice.
The Lib Dem MP, 58, had originally pleaded not guilty over claims his ex-wife Vicky Pryce took speeding points for him a decade ago.
He changed his plea on the first day of his trial at Southwark Crown Court.
A by-election is now expected in his seat of Eastleigh in Hampshire.
