UK 'only country' to help Jewish children, WWII survivor says

During the Second World War thousands of Jewish children were forced to leave their parents behind in Nazi-occupied Europe and flee to the UK.

Inge Goldrein was one of the children who made the journey to Britain from Austria, on what became known as the Kindertransport,

"The operation itself, looking back on it, was a great credit on the British public... Great Britain was the only country that opened its doors."

The UK marks Holocaust Memorial Day on Sunday 27th January.
