Meet barefoot marathon runner John McBride

More than one hundred aid organisations are coming together to launch a campaign against hunger - their biggest joint mobilisation since Make Poverty History in 2005.

The initiative is being led by John McBride, who runs barefoot at charity events to raise awareness of people living in poverty.

''It's worth a few minutes of pain to get the message out there,'' he said, adding that his feet are like "tissue paper".
