Horsemeat cooked live on TV for BBC presenter to eat
The Health Secretary Jeremy Hunt has said he is confident there is no risk to human health after beefburgers on sale in British supermarkets were found to be contaminated with horsemeat.
Irish food safety officials, who carried out tests two months ago, said the products had been stocked by a number of chains including Tesco and Iceland stores.
Chef Henry Harris cooked horsemeat on BBC's Newsnight programme for presenter Gavin Esler to sample.
