Spare tyres a thing of the past?
Many car manufacturers have decided to stop supplying vehicles with a spare tyre, instead fitting them with do-it-yourself repair kits.
But there are problems because not everyone knows how to use them.
The RAC says it has had over 80,000 call outs in the last year from people who have no spare tyres and from drivers who have had limited success with the sealant kits.
A BBC investigation for Watchdog in October 2012 found that only one of the top ten-selling models in 2011 carried a spare tyre.
