Flood water threatens power substation

Help

Water levels are falling slowly at an electrical substation in Reading, after heavy rain left it at risk of flooding, according to fire services.

Scottish and Southern Energy say they have plans to reroute power for 40,000 homes and businesses, should water reach the Burghfield site near Pingewood Lake.

Paul Southern from Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service spoke to BBC Radio Berkshire.
