Neon Roberts' father 'relieved' at ruling

The High Court has ruled that a 7-year-old boy will have radiotherapy for a brain tumour against his mother's wishes.

Sally Roberts had contested her son Neon's treatment because she feared long term side effects.

The judge said it was "every parent's nightmare" and that he was concerned Mrs Roberts' judgement had "gone awry" in the face of the serious threat to Neon's health.

Neon's father Ben Roberts had agreed to the boy having radiotherapy. His solicitor Gwen Williams spoke outside court.
