Brits Critics Choice winner Tom Odell: 'Lily Allen signed me up'
The Brits Critics Choice award has this year been won by 22-year-old singer-songwriter Tom Odell.
Adele, Jessie J, Florence and the Machine and Emeli Sande are artists who have featured in the Brits Critics Choice award in previous years, and now the judges have expressed their high hopes for this year's winner.
Speaking to presenter Martha Kearney on BBC Radio 4's The World at One programme, Mr Odell explained: "I never really decided to write a song, it kind of just happened."
He described how he was talent scouted by the musician Lily Allen.
