Sebastian Coe unashamed by Olympic ticket sales
About 264,000 tickets for the London Olympics remained unsold, it has been revealed.
The figure, given in a letter from the organising committee, included more than 213,000 unsold football tickets.
In addition to the Olympics tickets, more than 55,000 tickets for the Paralympics remained unsold.
Lord Sebastian Coe said he was not ashamed about the issue as "we are staging a global event not just for domestic consumption".
