BBC crisis: New director general Tim Davie makes crisis statement

Help

Tim Davie gives his first interview since being made acting director general of the BBC at a time when the corporation is in the midst of a serious crisis of trust.

Talking about George Entwistle's resignation he said, "We've had an honourable man leave the BBC."

He said his own job was to get a "grip" of what is happening at the BBC and he would not confirm whether any disciplinary action would be taken.

He spoke to the BBC's Mark Easton.
