Bradley Wiggins: Tour de France winner injured in crash

Tour de France champion Bradley Wiggins is in hospital after being knocked off his bike.

The 32-year-old Olympic gold medal winner damaged his ribs in the collision at 18:00 GMT in Wrightington, near Wigan. He was taken to a hospital and is being kept in for observation.

Yasmin Smith, who was working in a petrol station close to where the accident happened told the BBC the Olympian was in a "lot of pain".
