Emmerdale celebrates 40th anniversary with live show

Emmerdale is set to celebrate 40 years on air with an hour-long live show which boasts two births, two weddings and a funeral.

The ITV show, formerly known as Emmerdale Farm, is the second longest running British TV soap and will broadcast its special on Wednesday.
