Battlefield first aid on show at Imperial War Museum North


More soldiers than ever are surviving devastating injuries thanks to medical advances on the battlefield.

Procedures that were improvised on the frontline are becoming standard practice for treating civilians in hospitals across Britain.

These achievements are being showcased in a special exhibit at the Imperial War Museum North.
