Illegal parking outside schools facing crackdown
Parents who park illegally outside schools are being caught on camera and could be fined up to £70, in a scheme run by Newcastle City Council.
A camera car parked in plain view outside West Jesmond primary school records the licence plates of cars whose drivers stop on double yellow lines or zig zag markings.
