Police consider Sir Jimmy Savile rape allegation
Scotland Yard is considering opening a new investigation into an allegation that Sir Jimmy Savile raped an underage girl in London in the 1970s.
In a separate development, Jersey Police confirmed that as part of their investigation about child abuse, they'd received a complaint of indecent assault against the television presenter, who died last year.
During the day, the BBC promised full cooperation with any police inquiries into any allegations that involved BBC premises or staff.
