April Jones: disappearance: 'We live in hope'
The mayor of the Machynlleth has described the disappearance of a five-year-old girl in a suspected abduction as "a devastating blow".
April Jones was playing with friends near her home in Machynlleth but was seen getting into a light coloured van at about 19:30 BST on Monday.
Speaking to the BBC, Councillor Gareth Jones said: "We live in hope and will certainly carry on helping the police as much as we can."
Officers have urged anyone with any information relating to April's disappearance to call Dyfed Powys Police on 0300 2000 333.
