Eric Hobsbawm, British historian, dies aged 95
Eric Hobsbawm, one of Britain's most eminent historians, has died at the age of 95, his family have confirmed.
Mr Hobsbawm, whose works were shaped by a radical socialist outlook, wrote more than 30 books including History of the 20th Century and The Age of Extremes.
