UK braces itself for a month's rainfall in 24 hours


Forecasters have warned that large parts of the UK could experience a month's worth of rain in just 24 hours.

There are 25 flood warnings and 140 alerts in England and Wales, and flood alerts in nine areas of Scotland. Northern Ireland is also set to be hit.

Danny Savage reports from Castleford in West Yorkshire, where the River Aire is beginning to swell.
