'Meteors' sighted in skies across UK
People across the UK have reported seeing bright objects in the sky overnight, thought to be meteors or "space junk".
The lights were seen as far north as Caithness in north-east Scotland and as far south as Norfolk in East Anglia, as well as across Northern Ireland.
Experts said the source of the lightshow could be satellite debris or possibly small chunks of rock coming in to Earth's orbit, burning up on entry to the atmosphere.
Simon Clemison reports.
