Liverpool vigil remembers Hillsborough football disaster

Help

A vigil has been held in Liverpool to remember the 96 fans that died in the Hillsborough disaster.

It follows the publication of an independent report into the disaster which revealed police failed to save lives, then tried to blame fans.

Speakers included Liverpool Mayor Joe Anderson, Liverpool FC chaplain Bill Bygroves and Margaret Aspinall, chairwoman of the Hillsborough Family Support Group.
