Thatcher outfits to go on auction
A set of seven outfits worn by Margaret Thatcher in the 70s is being auctioned on Monday as part of Christie's London Sale, a one-off auction celebrating the Queen's Jubilee and London 2012.
Fashion historian Amber Jane Butchart says the outfits were a key part of Mrs Thatcher's philosophy, with tailoring more like that found in the 40s and 50s reflecting her social conservatism.
