Community leaders in the north-western Highlands, where three small children died after their canoe capsized, have been speaking of the sense of tragedy in the area.
Ewen Beaton, five, and his two-year-old brother Jamie along with Gracie Mackay, five, died in hospital after their boat overturned off Gairloch on Sunday.
The search has resumed for the father of the two boys, also called Ewen, who is missing presumed dead.
Helen Carmichael, a councillor in Beauly where the Beaton family are from, said there was "disbelief" at what had happened.
