IPCC: Essex police were 'inadequate' in stopping Oaks murders

Essex Police have been severely criticised for the way they dealt with a man who went on to kill his ex-partner and their daughter.

Christine Chambers had been complaining about violence from David Oakes for two years before the murder.

The Independent Police Complaints Commission says the force's response was "inadequate".
