Assange extradition: Scuffles outside Ecuador embassy

Help

Shortly before Ecuador announced it would give Wikileaks founder Julian Assange asylum, there were scuffles outside the embassy in London where he has been living.

Mr Assange took refuge at the embassy in June to avoid extradition to Sweden, where he faces questioning over assault and rape claims, which he denies.

The UK Foreign Office has said at no point did it threaten to enter the embassy.

The BBC's Nick Childs reports.
