On Friday Jessica Ennis set a world record in the women's 100m hurdles and a personal best in the 200m as she began her campaign for gold in the Olympic heptathlon.
At the age of 11 she joined the City of Sheffield Athletics Club aged 11, and even now she still trains with and competes for them when she can.
Jenny Hill went to the Don Valley Stadium to meet some of the club's coaches and members.
